ABOUT THE COMPANY
Dermatologist's Products Limited was founded by Dr. Wesley S. Wilborn, a board certified Dermatologist and world renowned expert on hair and scalp disorders.  Dr. Wilborn is a fellow member of The American Academy of Dermatology and is an Associate Clinical Professor of Dermatology at the Emory University School of Medicine, Atlanta Georgia.  Dr. Wilborn earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from South Carolina State College and his M.D. at Meharry Medical College also and has applied both studies to helping patients with skin and hair disorders.

A pioneer, Dr. Wilborn launched the first mainstream skin and hair care product line formulated by a dermatologist’s to people of African descent.  He began creating and marketing dermatological products as early as 1981.  His first venture in the industry began with a hair care brand, Back Alive Hair Care, where he was the co-founder.  In 1989 Dr. Wilborn broadened his scope of health and wellness products and established his own skin and hair brand, Dermatologist’s Products Limited.  DPL is not a ‘private label’ product or a reseller company; our products have been created, tested and approved by Dr. Wilborn, a board certified Dermatologist and Chemist.  The creation of DPL was inspired by Dr. Wilborn’s experiences as a Dermatologist as he found that there are no products effective enough to heal the skin and scalp problems of many of his patients.
